<p>Between this and the <a href="http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2009/03/09/090309fa_fact_max">New Yorker announcing</a> David Foster Wallace&#8217;s unfinished novel, <a href="http://www.newyorker.com/fiction/features/2009/03/09/090309fi_fiction_wallace"><em>The Pale King</em></a>, and Nabokov&#8217;s <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/booksblog/2008/apr/22/nabokovoriginaloflaura"><em>The Original of Laura</em> debacle</a>, we are really in posthumous novel season.</p>
